The new offering comes with three engine options -- 1.5l Kappa Turbo GDi Petrol, 1.5l MPi Petrol and 1.5l U2 CRDi Diesel engine. It will have four transmission options including 6-speed Manual, IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission), 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) and 6-speed Automatic transmission, a company statement said.
The new Creta sports a new radiator grill and an upright hood design, the company said. It features a Horizon LED Positioning lamp & DRLs and Quad beam LED headlamps.
The 1.5 L turbo gDi Petrol engine comes with a 7-speed transmission. It generates 117.5 Kw (160 PS) power and a torque of 253 Nm (25.8 kgm). As per the company, the its fuel efficiency would be 18.4 km/L.
"According to the statement, the new Creta boasts of "70+ safety features, including 36 standard features like 6 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control and many more"."
Hyundai's new product will be available across 7 variants and will be offered in 6 mono-tone colour options -- Robust Emerald Pearl (New), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey and 1 dual-tone colour option available in Atlas White with Black Roof.
Some of its features are -- dual zone automatic temperature control, voice enabled smart panoramic sunroof and an electric parking break. It also features a wireless charger, three C-type USB chargers and rear window sunshade, the company said.
Hyundai Creta was first launched in India in 2015. It completes with the likes of Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor. Its top variants compete with the Tata Harrier and MG Hector.
