UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Omar Abdi, who visited Kabul last week, said that the Taliban will announce a framework that allows girls to attend school in Afghanistan "soon". "In all my meetings...education of girls was the first issue that I raised," Abdi added. The Taliban has repeatedly said that it'll allow girls to return to school as soon as possible.
