AIIMS to pay ₹50 lakh to employee illegally terminated in 1998: Delhi HC

The Delhi High Court has directed AIIMS to pay over ₹50 lakh to a former employee, Raj Singh, who was illegally terminated in 1998. The HC said the amount is to be paid towards his salary from December 4, 1998, till October 31, 2016, his leave encashment and gratuity. He was appointed as a driver by AIIMS in the 1980s.
