Coal India to give ₹16 cr for treatment of employee's daughter with rare disorder

Coal India has said it'll sanction ₹16 crores towards Zolgensma injection for the treatment of an employee's two-year-old daughter, who's suffering from the rare genetic disorder Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).

CIL said it "believes its employees and families are its real wealth", adding that it decided to bear the cost as it was 'impossible for the employee to afford it.
