Samsung plant in US spilled acidic waste in a tributary for months

Samsung Electronics' semiconductor factory in Austin, Texas, spilled acidic waste for months in a tributary, a probe revealed. The city's Watershed Protection Department said it found virtually no surviving aquatic life in the area. The plant may have dumped 763,000 gallons of waste for 106 days into a stormwater pond on its property, which then affected the tributary, it added.
