Apple to change iPhone connector as EU agrees to single charging port

Apple will have to change the connector on iPhones sold in Europe by 2024 after EU countries on Tuesday agreed to a single mobile charging port for mobile phones, tablets, and cameras. European Commission said the decision would make consumers' lives easier and help them save money. "By autumn 2024, USB Type-C will become the common charging port," EU said.
