Cell manufacturing investment may exceed $9 bn by 2030: ICRA report

In India, cell manufacturing investments may exceed $9 billion by 2030, according to a report by ICRA. The demand for EV batteries is expected to touch around 15 GWh, and around 60GWh by 2030 in the domestic market, it stated. The report added that it is expected that batteries will remain the most critical and costliest component of an EV.
