Apple to release iOS 16 with redesigned lock screen on September 12

Apple has announced that it will be releasing its latest operating system iOS 16 on September 12. iOS 16 will allow users to add widgets to the lock screen, use the Live Text feature to pull text from videos and photos and edit and recall messages sent on iMessage. It'll also offer passkeys as an easier and safer sign-in method.
