Saturn’s rings are no more than 400 million years old: Study

According to researchers, despite Saturn's formation over four billion years ago, its rings are relatively young and estimated to be no more than 400 million years old. This conclusion was drawn from the analysis of data collected by NASA's Cassini spacecraft, which studied the rocky material passing through the solar system and found that a thin layer of cosmic dust is left behind on planetary bodies, including Saturn's rings.
