India should champion AI on Indian data, tech: Paytm CEO

Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma said India "should champion AI and LLM (large language models)" on Indian data and technology. He made the remark while sharing a tweet from technology analyst Benedict Evans. "The EU theory that anyone making a cutting-edge ML model needs to get a licence...reminds me...of certain kinds of 20th-century governments that registered...typewriters," Evans wrote.
