Grab lays off over 1,000 employees

Singapore-based ride-hailing and food delivery app Grab has laid off over 1,000 employees. This is Grab's largest round of layoffs since 2020, when it cut 360 jobs in response to COVID-19 pandemic challenges. "I want to be clear that we're not doing this as a shortcut to profitability," Group CEO and Co-Founder Anthony Tan said in an e-mail to employees.
