Indian telescope helps detect universe's vibrations

An international team of astronomers recently announced scientific evidence confirming presence of gravitational waves. Operated by National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, India's Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope located in Pune was among six of the world's large radio telescopes that helped in the discovery. The announcement came eight years after the first detection of gravitational waves.
