28% GST to be levied on online gaming, horse racing, casinos

GST Council has decided to impose a 28% tax rate for online gaming on full face value with no distinction between games of skill and chance, officials said on Tuesday. A 28% GST tax rate will be levied on horse racing and casinos too. Effective date for levy on online gaming will rollout after amendments to GST law.
