India more advanced than us in retail payments: ECB DG

Ulrich Bindseil, the Director General of Market Infrastructure and Payments at the European Central Bank (ECB), said India is more advanced than ECB in the retail payments space. He also praised the country's UPI system and said it's a "success story". "We would be happy to have something similar over time," he added.
