Live Updates: ISRO launches XPoSAT to study black hole, marking a successful start to the New Year

The 25-hour countdown for the PSLV-DL launch began smoothly at 8:10 a.m. on Sunday, marking the start of an intricate mission at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The towering PSLV-C58, standing at 44.4 meters and weighing 260 tons, is set to lift off from the first launch pad. Scheduled for a 9:10 a.m. launch, it aims to propel XPoSat to an altitude of around 650 km within 21 minutes. The rocket's fourth stage will perform two restarts for orbit adjustments, crucial for the success of the 3-axis stabilized mode for Orbital Platform (OP) experiments. A notable aspect is the PSLV Orbital Experimental Module-3 (POEM-3) experiment, integral to achieving the goals of the 10 identified payloads contributed by both ISRO and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe), showcasing collaborative efforts in India's space exploration."
