NASA tests inflatable heat-shield for spacecraft

NASA has completed testing of Bernard Kutter Low-Earth Orbit Flight Test of an Inflatable Decelerator (LOFTID), an inflatable heat-shield system for a spacecraft for its cooler re-entry into Earth's atmosphere.
