As a one-time waiver for the proposed recruitment cycle for 2022, the Centre on Thursday raised the age limit for the 'Agnipath' recruitment scheme for the armed forces to 23 from 21 amid nationwide protests. The decision has been taken as no recruitment had taken place in the last two years, it stated. The entry-level age is 17.5 years.
