Earth seen as a tiny dot in pic shared by NASA

NASA's official Instagram page has shared an image taken by Voyager 1 on February 14, 1990, in which Earth can be seen as a tiny speck in a beam of sunlight. The picture was taken at a distance of 3.7 billion miles (6 billion km) from the Sun. The picture later became known as the Pale Blue Dot.
