NASA has shared a detailed picture of the Wolf-Rayet star WR 124 before its impending "stellar death" and revealed it was one of the first observations made by James Webb Space Telescope in June 2022. The star is 15,000 light-years away in constellation Sagitta. A Wolf-Rayet star is among the most luminous, most massive, and most briefly detectable stars known.
