India seeks exemption on tariff imposed by Trump on steel: Report

India is in talks with America to seek an exemption on steel and aluminium tariffs that were imposed by former US President Donald Trump, Reuters reported. In exchange, India has offered withdrawal of some retaliatory tariffs on agricultural goods like almonds and walnuts, the report added. Trump had imposed 25% tariff on steel and 10% tariff on aluminium in 2018.
